Every day we at DVOW remember and support our nations Military and Veterans, but today we are taking a moment to Honor those who fought Courageously and those who Sacrificed their Lives on D-Day June 6, 1944! In Normandy, France over 160,000 Allied troops landed and fought on the beaches of the French coastline to gain a foot-hold against Nazi Germany. More than 9,000 lives were lost or wounded on this day 76 years ago! Their Sacrifices and efforts paved the way for the Allied Forces to liberate Europe and end Tyranny.
